The first seminar on Biometric EMV Payment Cards will be held at the Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay on 18 July. The seminar is part of the Powered & Next-Generation Cards conference and exhibition on 17-18 July 2018.

Paving the way for high value contactless card payments

Global migration to EMV contactless payments
New scheme requirements in many Asian markets mean that from October 2018 all new acceptance terminals must be EMV contactless-enabled and from April 2019 all new cards issued must support EMV contactless technology.

Protection for lost and stolen contactless payment cards
Biometric EMV contactless payment cards prevent fraudsters from making payments on lost and stolen cards and remove the adverse media coverage and customer concerns raised by fraudsters on stolen card spending sprees.

Prevention against RFID hacking of EMV contactless payment cards
So-called contactless skimming scams and hacker claims create negative publicity which alarms cardholders and create PR headaches for banks and their regulators. Biometric EMV contactless cards remove these scenarios.

Secure and convenient higher value contactless card payments
Today it is difficult or impossible for cardholders to make higher value EMV contactless card payments - PIN is not an intuitive fit with a contactless tap. Biometric on-card CVM will accelerate EMV contactless card payments.
